SOURCE VIDEO FOR MY LESSON AND COVER -. THIS SOLO IS PURE BRILLIANCE!!!- The lines show a really deep understanding of both the song structure and the tradition of his musical background. It's also extremely virtuoustic and contains of all the hallmark's that make Glen's playing legendary. Beautiful phrasing, octave runs, arpeggios and sweep, the odd outside notes and chromatic runs weaved in so masterfully. This was REALLY hard to copy- probably the hardest cover I've done. Clean Strat (sounds like early 60s to me) with no gain to hide behind. (distortion sounding guitars are much easier to play and hide a multitude of sins) Anyway, here's the cleaned up video- I remixed the sound, applying EQ, rounded out the bass, and normalized the peaks, with about a 3 db gain addition. This sounds better than the original video I took it from. Guitar players who dig Glen - PLEASE SUBSCRIBE. I have other classic CG solo covers and lessons posted here, with much more on the way. Make Fake FB Chat or Status, Prank your Friend xD http://www.fakefbchat.se This is the tribute Concert to Johnny Cash (2003) His daughter talk about her's dad and singing His hit Tennessee Flat Top Box. Lyrics: In a little cabere In a south texas boarder town Sat a boy and his guitar And the people came from all around And all the girls From there to Austin Were slippin' away from home And puttin' jewlery and hopped to take the trip To go and listen To the little dark-haired boy who played the Tennessee flat top box And he would play Well he couldn't ride or wrangle And he never cared to make it down But give him his guitar And he'd be happy all the time And all the girls From nine to ninety Were snappin' fingers Tappin' toes And beggin' him don't stop And hypnotized And fasinated By the little dark-haired boy who played the Tennessee flat top box And he would play Then one day he was gone And no one ever saw him 'round He vanished like the breeze They forgot him in the little town But all the girls Still dreamed about him And hung around The cabere until the doors were locked And then one day On the hit parade Was the little dark-haired boy who played the Tennessee flat top box And he would play

An old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw A-plowing through the ragged sky and up the cloudy draw Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky For he saw the Riders coming hard and he heard their mournful cry Yippie yi Ohhhhh Yippie yi yaaaaay Ghost Riders in the sky Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, their shirts all soaked with sweat He's riding hard to catch that herd, but he ain't caught 'em yet 'Cause they've got to ride forever on that range up in the sky On horses snorting fire As they ride on hear their cry As the riders loped on by him he heard one call his name If you want to save your soul from Hell a-riding on our range Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride Trying to catch the Devil's herd, across these endless skies Yippie yi Ohhhhh Yippie yi Yaaaaay Ghost Riders in the sky Ghost Riders in the sky Ghost Riders in the sky

This is a live performance by Johnny Cash on the German-based music TV show "Beat-Club", back in 1972. Johnny is in top for here, and his back-up also features a guest appearance by Carl Perkins. There's also an appearance by his wife June Carter Cash & his sister-in-law Anita Carter (on one song.) He does his big hits here, and the band is really tight. This is a great performance from The Man In Black.
